Submissons now open for Materials Visualization Competition

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- The Penn State Department of Materials Science and Engineering and the Materials Research Institute are now accepting submissions for the sixth annual Materials Visualization Competition (MVC6), a scientific visual and artistic competition created to celebrate the quality of research in materials at Penn State.

The competition is open to all faculty, graduate and undergraduate students, post-doctoral researchers and researchers of the Department of Materials Science and Engineering, the Materials Research Institute, the Materials Research Laboratory and any Penn State departments or areas working or collaborating on materials topics.

Last year, the competition received more than 40 entries submitted by faculty, students and researchers. This year, image submissions are due by 5 p.m. Friday, March 14.
