TechCelerator Boot Camp accepting applications for spring

The next eight-week TechCelerator Boot Camp session begins on Tuesday, March 11, from 4 to 6 p.m. in the Hershey Center for Applied Research.

The TechCelerator Boot Camp is designed to help faculty, staff and students think entrepreneurially as they explore the commercial potential of a technology. The eight-week educational program is designed to assist in the transition of research into an operating business venture. As part of the program, participants will receive on site one on one business mentors, assistance with issues such as legal and accounting, market research analysis and weekly group sessions on startup topics while developing a strong investor pitch.

The TechCelerator Boot Camp has completed two sessions with a total of 12 companies participating. Three Penn State Hershey technologies were awarded seed grants to further develop the commercial potential of the technology.

The TechCelerator @Hershey is a business mentoring service targeted at faculty, staff and students who have an early stage technology and interest in exploring its commercial potential. The TechCelerator Program is presented by Ben Franklin Technology Partners and sponsored in part by the Office of Technology Development, Harrisburg Regional Chamber of Commerce and Capital Region Economic Development Corp.
