Touring Broadway's 'Beauty and the Beast' comes to Eisenhower on Feb. 25 and 26

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- NETworks Presents "Disney’s Beauty and the Beast," a touring Broadway musical for all generations, will be performed live on stage at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 25, and Wednesday, Feb. 26, in Penn State's Eisenhower Auditorium at University Park.

Based on the Academy Award-winning animated feature film, this eye-popping spectacle has won the hearts of more than 35 million people worldwide. The classic musical love story is filled with unforgettable characters, lavish sets and costumes, and dazzling production numbers, including "Be Our Guest" and the beloved title song.

Section 1 and 2 tickets for the Center for the Performing Arts at Penn State presentation are $62 and $53 for an adult, $44 and $35 for a University Park Student, and $45 and $36 for a person 18 and younger. "Disney’s Beauty and the Beast" is the classic story of Belle, a young woman in a provincial town, and the Beast, a young prince trapped in a spell placed by an enchantress. If the Beast can learn to love and be loved, the curse will end and he will be transformed to his former self. But time is running out. If the Beast does not learn his lesson soon, he and his household will be doomed for eternity.

Audio description, which is especially helpful to patrons with sight loss, is available for the Feb. 26 performance only at no extra cost to ticket holders.

"Artistic Viewpoints," an informal moderated discussion featuring a "Disney’s Beauty and the Beast" company member, will be offered one hour before each performance and is free for ticket holders. "Artistic Viewpoints" regularly fills to capacity. Seating is available on a first arrival basis.
