University Faculty Senate seeks ombudsperson

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- The Penn State University Faculty Senate is seeking interested faculty for the position of University Faculty Ombudsperson. The ombudsperson must be a current or emeritus faculty member. The position is a four-year (renewable) term. Information on the role of the University (Faculty) Ombudsperson, recent reports and related policies can be found at  http://senate.psu.edu/ombuds/ombuds.asp.Duties of the position are outlined in the Senate Standing Rules, Article III, Section 10:-- Coordinate the training of all college and campus faculty ombudspersons,-- provide for the appropriate dissemination of information among the various college and campus faculty ombudspersons,-- be the University-level contact for the various college and campus faculty ombudspersons,-- report periodically to the Senate Council and-- maintain liaison with the Office of the University Provost, the Office of Human Resources and the Office of the University Faculty Senate.For additional information, contact Daniel R.
