Real Estate Advisory Board welcomes seven new members

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- The Penn State Smeal College of Business Real Estate Advisory Board welcomed seven new members at its most recent meeting, held in mid-November at Penn State’s University Park campus.

New members include Carl Berquist, chief financial officer and executive vice president of Marriott International Inc.; Michael Croce, vice president of business and development at Pat Croce & Co.; Robert Fenza, chief operating officer of Liberty Property Trust; Mark Hertz, managing director of AIG Global Real Estate Investment Corp.; Jonathan Knipe, senior vice-president and general counsel of Silverstein Properties Inc.; Jeffrey Perrone, tax partner in real estate service at Deloitte Tax LLP; and Charles Snell, president of New England Design Associates.

As the advisory board continues to grow so too does the wider presence of the Real Estate Society, chaired by Larry Colorito. Colorito is leading the charge to develop membership and identify leadership in the growing regional groups of Penn State alumni in the real estate industry.

The Los Angeles and New York City regions both have leadership in place, and membership in the Philadelphia, Pittsburgh and Washington, D.C., regions continues to grow. In addition, the Penn State Real Estate Group on LinkedIn has grown to 1,080 members.

The Real Estate Society’s mission is to connect Penn Staters in the real estate industry with each other, and with the University and its students. Members’ engagement with the college provides a critical link between the industry and students studying real estate.
