CENTER VALLEY, Pa. -- While Thanksgiving traditionally begins a season of joy and celebration, it can also be one of the hardest times of the year for families struggling financially. Recognizing this, the Penn State Lehigh Valley community has once again held its annual Thanksgiving Food Drive to help ease the burden for local families, continuing a campus tradition for more than a decade. Beginning at 8:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 22, students, faculty and staff will gather to sort donations and deliver complete Thanksgiving dinners to the Sixth Street Shelter in Allentown.
