Fall Gaelen speaker to discuss start-up experience

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- Brendan Lowry, marketing manager at Curalate, will visit the University Park campus Nov. 7 to deliver the fall 2013 Norbert and Audrey Gaelen Entrepreneurship Speaker Series.

Lowry's talk is titled "Choosing to Work for a Start-up." All students are invited to attend one of three sessions: 9:45 or 11:15 a.m. in 307 Hammond or 1 p.m. in 306 Hammond.

Prior to helping to found Curalate, the world’s leading marketing and analytics suite for the visual Web with major clients including Pinterest and Instagram, Lowry was an education producer at Skillshare in Philadelphia. He completed public relations internships at Buchanan Public Relations, LLC, and with the Philadelphia 76ers.

Lowry received his undergraduate degree from Temple University.

Established in 2008, the Norbert and Audrey Gaelen Entrepreneurship Speaker Series invites entrepreneurs to the University in the hopes of encouraging entrepreneurship among Penn State students, faculty and staff. Norbert Gaelen is a 1947 industrial engineering alumnus.
