Wilbur Zelinsky memorial service planned for Oct. 26

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- A memorial service honoring Wilbur Zelinsky, the late professor emeritus in the Department of Geography, will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 26, in the Pasquerilla Spiritual Center on the Penn State University Park campus.

Zelinsky, a professor at Penn State for 50 years and a department head from 1970 to 1976, died peacefully at home in State College on May 4, 2013. Following the service and reception, those who wish are welcome to gather at the home of Karen Zelinsky Kite in Pennsylvania Furnace from 4 to 7 p.m.
