"Andy always said, 'I paint my life.' And this why I love doing what I do, because he's painting my life too, he's painting my family, my friends and all the places I grew up, and I give him great respect for this: he never sold out, he never painted places that he knew would sell, he just painted what he wanted.

"This is why I miss my grandfather so much ... the way that he could paint snow, you could almost hear it ... shhhhh ... blowing all over the place."

-- Victoria Browning Wyeth, speaking Friday (Oct. 4) on "The Life and Work of Andrew Wyeth," during the third event of the 2013-14 Penn State Forum Speaker Series at The Penn Stater Conference Center Hotel. The only grandchild of iconic artist Andrew Wyeth and a docent of his work, she shared personal memories and stories about her grandfather and showed pieces from her family's private collection, offering a rare and intimate look into Wyeth's art, his personality and his life.
