Lehigh Valley kicks off THON efforts with kickball and Pie your Pals event

CENTER VALLEY, Pa. – The Penn State Lehigh Valley THON team will officially kick off the 2014 THON fundraising season with a kickball game and Pie your Pals event at 12:30 p.m. Oct. 1 on the soccer field on campus.

Sign-ups for the kickball game are being taken in the fitness center until Sept. 30. It is $3 to play and the entrance fee will benefit Penn State Lehigh Valley's THON efforts. Anyone from the campus community can sign up to play.

THON 2014 will take place Feb. 21 to 23 at the Bryce Jordan Center on the University Park campus. More than 700 students from Penn State campuses and organizations will dance continuously for 46 hours to raise money for pediatric cancer research and treatments.
