Laureate Womack to be featured speaker during Parents and Families Weekend

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- Penn State Laureate Kenneth Womack will be a featured speaker at University Park’s Parents & Families Weekend, which is set for Oct. 4 to 6.

Womack’s talk, titled "'Yeah! Yeah! Yeah!': The Evolving Artistry of the Beatles” will be held at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, in Freeman Auditorium at the HUB-Robeson Center.

This event, along with many Parents & Families Weekend offerings, is open to the campus community. He is the author or editor of numerous works of nonfiction, including "Long and Winding Roads: The Evolving Artistry of the Beatles" (2007) and "The Cambridge Companion to the Beatles" (2009). His next Beatles-related work, "The Beatles Encyclopedia: Everything Fab Four," will be released in February in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Beatles’ legendary appearance on "The Ed Sullivan Show."
