Musselman's Family Skating tribute coming to Pegula on Nov. 3

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- Pegula Ice Arena at Penn State will host its first nationally recognized professional skating show at 5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 3.Award-winning country music singer-songwriter and Country Music Award winning Sara Evans will perform live in the family-themed show hosted by skating champions (and parents) Kristi Yamaguchi and Michael Weiss. The star-studded cast includes numerous World Champion’s and Olympic medalists including Paul Wylie, Todd Eldridge, Kurt Browning and Irina Slutskaya.By “family-themed”, the show features a skating of cast of parents, including Ekaterina Gordeeva and Ilia Kulik, along with their children, who will be incorporated into at least one of their mom and/or dad’s numbers in the show. Evans is also a mom, and she will perform a number of songs live during the show.The show will be taped for NBC and be aired from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 24.“Musselman’s Apple Sauce is proud to sponsor the Family Skating Tribute once again this year and is excited this NBC special will take place at the new Pegula Ice Arena on the campus of Penn State University,” said Vice President of Marketing of Knouse Foods, Bob Fisher.Tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 27, at www.ticketmaster.com, by phone at 800-745-3000, Bryce Jordan Center Box Office, Eisenhower Auditorium, Penn State Downtown Theatre and the Altoona Campus Ticket Office.Tickets are $20, $32.50, $39.50 and $49.50. VIP seating is also available. Children younger than 24 months are admitted free.
