Spectator advisory for Harry Groves Spiked Shoe Invitational

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. --The Nittany Lion cross country squads are slated to compete on their home course for the first time this season, hosting the Harry Groves Spiked Shoe Invitational on the Blue-White Golf Course. The competition, which is set to include high school and collegiate races, is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. on Friday (Sept. 13).

All teams and spectators are encouraged to abide by the following parking restrictions:

Directions to the Starting Line - Blue/White Golf Courses - The cross country course takes advantage of the challenging landscape of the Penn State Blue/White Golf Courses. The competitive start and finish lines can be found off of North Atherton Street (US Business Route 322) at White Course Drive. This is located on the western edge of campus, behind Rec Hall.

Team Parking/Drop Off - Team Drop Off will take place in Lot Red A (directly across from Rec Hall at the intersection of Atherton Street and White Course Drive). Please proceed through the kiosk to the drop off area. Team vans will be directed to park in the lot. However, busses will be directed to park off-site (Porter North). There is NO on-site parking for busses.

Spectator Parking - All spectators for the Harry Groves Spiked Shoe Invitational are encouraged to park in Nittany Deck (located next to the Nittany Lion Inn). Spectators will then be able to access the starting line by following Curtin Road to Atherton Street. Spectators parked in other lots could be ticketed or towed.
