Three acoustics students win research paper awards

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- Three acoustics doctoral students were awarded the Michiko So Finegold Award by the Institute of Noise Control Engineering at its Noise-Con 2013 event in Denver, Colo., at the end of August.

The students -- Beom Soo Kim, Rachel Romond and Ed Zechmann -- were each recognized for research papers they presented at the conference.

Established this year, the Michiko So Finegold Award supports graduate students and young professionals in the fields of noise control engineering, noise effects and development of noise policies by facilitating their travel to national and international professional meetings and conferences.
