Student Alcohol Advisory Committee seeks applications for membership

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- The Student Alcohol Advisory Committee (SAAC), now in its fourth year, is taking applications for membership.

Vice President for Student Affairs Damon Sims is seeking a diverse group of students interested in offering advice about various issues involving alcohol at Penn State.

The SAAC meets throughout the year to discuss the culture surrounding alcohol and its use, as well as the various programs and policies that the University employs to address alcohol. Through engaging in dialogue and considering multiple perspectives, the group provides insight to the administration on these issues.

The deadline to apply is 5 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 12. Committee members for the 2013-14 academic year will be notified on or before Sept. 21.
