UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- The Penn State men's soccer team is scheduled to be featured in at least two matches on the Big Ten Network (BTN) this fall as announced Thursday (Aug. 15) by the Big Ten Conference.

The defending Big Ten champion Nittany Lions will square off against preseason top-ranked Indiana at 2:30 p.m. on Oct. 6 in Bloomington, Ind., before hosting Northwestern at 1 p.m. on Oct. 27.

Infusing a wealth of talented newcomers with a battle-tested group of veterans, Penn State will look to replace a large percentage of its offense in 2013. The Lions open up preseason play at 7 p.m. on Saturday (Aug. 17) in Omaha, Neb. against University of Nebraska-Omaha.

The Big Ten Network is available to more than 90 million homes through agreements with more than 300 cable, satellite and telco providers in all 50 states and Canada. Armstrong, Blue Ridge and Adams Cable, though, do not carry the BTN in Pennsylvania and the Medina and Youngstown, Ohio areas. More than 35,000 Penn State alumni live in the communities served by the three cable providers in Pennsylvania and the Medina and Youngstown areas, in addition to thousands of more fans and current Penn State students.
