UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- Following up his best game of the season statistically, redshirt-senior attackman Jack Forster (Jenkintown, Pa.) was tabbed CAA Player of the Week on Monday (April 29) afternoon. Forster tallied six points behind five goals, all in the third quarter, and an assist to help Penn State defeat Hofstra, 16-7, on Saturday. Forster shares the honor with UMass's Kyle Smith.

Forster earned his second player of the week award and the fourth conference weekly honor of his career. Forster tallied five goals in a stretch of 5:28 in the third period at Hofstra. Before the Forster barrage, the score was 6-3 in favor of Penn State, by the time he was done filling up the back of the net PSU opened an 11-4 lead. He went on to assist on another goal as Penn State used a 9-1 run spanning two quarters to put away the Pride.

Forster tallied season highs for goals (5), points (6) and became Penn State's first 50-point scorer since 2002 (Will Driscoll, 55). Additionally, Forster tallied his 13th career hat trick and seventh of the season. He is riding a 26-game point streak dating back to March 3, 2012.

In the record books, Forster sits on 99 career goals, which is good for sixth at PSU, and is five goals away from tying second all-time list. Greg Jackson (1994-97) tallied 104 goals, while Driscoll had 127 from 1999-2002. On the points list, Forster (143) is seventh all-time and can tie for sixth with his next point.
