Voting begins for 2013 Marathon Reading selection

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- Organizers of this year's Marathon Reading are inviting members of the Penn State community to help choose the book for the 24-hour event, starting at 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 5, on the Pattee-Paterno Library lawn. The event continues through the night until the reading is completed on Friday, Sept. 6. 

The choices for the 2013 Marathon Reading are:-- "The Complete Poems of Emily Dickinson" by Emily Dickinson-- "Invisible Man" by Ralph Ellison-- "The Odyssey" by Homer-- "One Hundred Years of Solitude" by Gabriel Garcia Marquez-- "Paradise Lost" by John Milton-- "Ulysses" by James JoyceTo vote, go to http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/D72CVDV and make a selection by May 6.The event will be sponsored by the College of the Liberal Arts, the Department of Comparative Literature, the Department of English, the Center for Democratic Deliberation and the Center for American Literary Studies.
