Kudroff Lecture to discuss construction, infrastructure in the UK on April 25

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Tim Broyd, chair in built environment foresight at London's University College, will present the Marvin J. Kudroff Memorial Lecture at 6 p.m. April 25 at The Nittany Lion Inn.

The event is free and open to the public.

Broyd will discuss "The Landscape of United Kingdom Construction and Infrastructure."

He has served for five years as head of the Construction Industry Research and Information Association, an industry research organization.

Broyd is a fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering and the Institution of Civil Engineers. He is a visiting professor at England's University of Reading and University of Dundee.

The Marvin J. Kudroff Memorial Lecture was established at Penn State in 1981 to provide an annual lecture to engineering faculty and students by leaders in the field of engineering.

The lecture is alternately hosted by the Department of Architectural Engineering, and the Harold and Inge Marcus Department of Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering.
