UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The student chapter of the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers will hold its annual lawnmower maintenance clinic on April 5 and 6.
The student club fundraiser allows owners of push-type lawnmowers to prepare their equipment for summer. Cost is $35 for mowers dropped off at the Agricultural Engineering Building or $45 for pickup and return service.
As part of the service, the students will:
- Start the mower (before servicing)
- Clean the under-deck
- Sharpen and balance the blade
- Secure the blade
- Clean the air filter
- Check, clean and gap the spark plug
- Change the oil
- Wash
- Start the mower (after servicing)
