Penn State Lewistown Center to hold open house for adults April 2

Adults living in the Juniata River Valley who are interested in going back to school to finish a college degree for career advancement or to prepare for a new career are invited to attend a free adult learner information session from 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, April 2, at the Penn State Lewistown Center at 152 E. Market St., Suite 100, Lewistown, Pa. This event will include a financial aid presentation at 6 p.m., with time for questions afterward.

The open house-style session will enable adults to drop by at their convenience to talk with Penn State Continuing Education representatives about education programs, including professional certificates and associate and bachelor’s degree programs, and financial aid and scholarships, academic advising, career planning and student services offered at the Penn State Lewistown Center.

Courses are offered during the evenings, on weekends and during the day, as well as online. In addition, adults can find out about registering for courses, transferring credits and earning credits for their prior college-level learning.

Adults who cannot attend may call the number listed below to speak with a Continuing Education admissions counselor.

For information or to register to attend the April 2 adult learner information session, call Sue Shank at 717-248-9618 or visit http://ceup.psu.edu/events-workshops.
