Penn State's Microsoft Software Program contract to expire

For the last two and a half years, the Microsoft Software Program has provided Penn State and its students with a broad range of software at no cost to the individual. Information Technology Services (ITS), formerly known as Computer and Information Services, is alerting students that the contract will expire Aug. 31. Beginning Aug. 10, fall 2002 students who have not previously received this software can pick up their software at any Penn State campus. Contact information is available at, http://computerstore.psu.edu/softwaredist/student/distlocation.html. Each license entitles one student to install the software on his or her personal computer. All software must be obtained and installed by Aug. 31 to be covered under the existing contract. Upgrades made after Aug. 31 will have to adhere to new contract provisions. As of Sept. 1, students will be able to purchase Microsoft software from Penn State's Computer Store, the Microcomputer Order Center (MOC) through its online store at http://computerstore.psu.edu/softwaredist/student/studentinfo.html
