New Faculty to Begin at Shenango this Fall

Penn State Shenango will begin this academic year with the addition of two new full-time faculty members. Dr. William M. McGuigan, assistant professor of human development and family studies, has been hired to teach the associate and baccalaureate courses in the campus' Human Development and Family Studies program. Dr. McGuigan comes to the Shenango campus from Oregon State University where he taught in their Human Development and Family Studies program. He received his bachelor of arts degree in sociology, master's degree in human development and family studies, and doctorate in family studies all from Oregon State University. Mrs. Lisa Reeves-Bertin, instructor in information, sciences and technology, was brought on board to teach the associate degree courses in the campus' Information, Sciences and Technology program, as well as to teach management information courses in the campus' baccalaureate Business degree program. Before being hired full-time, Mrs. Reeves-Berlin was employed at Penn State Shenango as a part-time instructor as well as at International Timber and Veneer where she was a management information system office manager. She received her undergraduate degree from Youngstown State University in business administration and an executive masters of business administration degree from Kent State University.
