PSNK in the News

Jackie Kallal, director of institutional advancement, was interviewed by the Valley News Dispatch after winning the women's master division of the 14th annual Tour de Strongland Bike Race on Sept. 8. The 40-mile event, which started and finished at Kennedy Park in Vandergrift, Pa., was Kallal's first attempt at competitive road racing. Jenelle Lash (Kittanning High School), a freshman golfer, received notice in the Valley News Dispatch for being the first woman golfer at PSNK and the only female playing this season in the Western Pennsylvania Collegiate Conference. Ryan Hempfield (Kiski Area H.S.), a junior business management major and budding NASCAR driver, was featured in the National Speed Sporting News about his accomplishments this summer in the NASCAR Touring Series, one of the stepping stones to the NASCAR circuit.
