Art Gallery Hosts 50-Year Retrospective by Binai

A showing of paintings and works by Paul Binai, "A Fifty Year Retrospective," will be on display in the Art Gallery at Penn State New Kensington from Oct. 6 through 31. The exhibit represents 50 years of art that coincides with the artist's 70th birthday. Throughout his career, Binai has explored numerous themes including portraits of individuals lost to obscurity such as Toti dal Monte, an opera diva of the 1920s. In recent years, two specific themes have dominated his work: the Holocaust and the reflections of life. An artist's reception will be held on Sunday, Oct. 6, from 2 to 5 p.m. in the Art Gallery.
