Varsity Basketball Returning to DuBois in 2003

Collegiate men's basketball is coming back to the DuBois area. For the first time in many years, Penn State DuBois will be hosting a men's varsity basketball team, starting in fall 2003. "The campus has fielded some very competitive men's basketball teams in the past, and we are excited to have the opportunity to re-establish this tradition," explained Sean Kelly, director of student affairs. The netters will play other Penn State campuses, as well as community colleges in northwest Pennsylvania. The new addition brings to five the number of varsity teams offered at Penn State DuBois. The campus currently fields a women's varsity volleyball team, plus women's and men's cross-country teams, and a co-ed golf team. For the full story, visit
