Musical Instruments and Banned Books on Display During October

October 03, 2002

Banned Books Week was recognized last month in libraries across America. The Blissell Library at PSNK has set up a display of books that people have attempted to ban from public schools and libraries, including The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, The Catcher in the Rye, Stephen King's Cujo, and Toni Morrison's Beloved. The display is located in the main corridor of the Administration Building. Musical instruments, crafted by PSNK students in Lil Coury's music class, also are on display at the library. The two displays will stay up throughout October. Each month different works of PSNK students, faculty, and staff are displayed in Blissell Library. For photos of the books and instruments, visit
