Shenango Hires Career Services Counselor

Penn State Shenango recently hired Beth Marhefka as their career services counselor and academic advisor. In her new position, Marhefka will be responsible for helping students with course selection and assisting in their academic progress toward degree completion; meeting with students to assist them with issues such as choice of major, clarification of career plans, job search skills, and graduate school plans; setting up student workshops to teach resume and cover letter writing, interviewing skills, and job search strategies; and conducting on-campus career fairs. Marhefka received her bachelor of science degree in mathematical science from Armstrong Atlantic State University in Savannah, Georgia in 1998, and a master of education in counseling and educational psychology from Slippery Rock University in 2001.
