Fans Can Cast Official Heisman Trophy Vote for 'LJ'

Penn State senior tailback Larry Johnson continues to shatter records and quietly make his case for the 2002 Heisman Trophy, awarded annually to the nation's most outstanding collegiate football player. Now, Nittany Lion fans can make their voices heard on who they think is the best player in the country -- and maybe even give Johnson an important vote for the most prestigious individual award in college athletics. Johnson is one of several players listed in an online poll at One official first place vote in the actual Heisman Trophy balloting will be placed for the winner of the poll. Johnson is currently the nation's second leading rusher and leads the nation with 2,286 all-purpose yards. His 327-yard rushing effort against Indiana last Saturday (Nov. 16) in a 58-25 win was the first time a Nittany Lion cracked the 300-yard rushing mark in a game.
