Daffin Trustee Scholarship Established at Shenango

Through a generous commitment of $50,000 from Jean Daffin and her daughter, Diane, the Paul "Pete" Daffin Memorial Trustee Scholarship has been established at Penn State Shenango. Pete Daffin was the founder and owner of Daffin's Candies in Sharon. According to Jean Daffin, "Pete was always interested in helping others and especially felt strongly about supporting higher education. We had wanted to do something at the local campus for years and, now that the campus offers four-year degrees, we are especially interested in supporting student scholarships." This is the campus' second Trustee Scholarship to be established since the Penn State Trustees made a commitment to financially support need-based scholarships within the University.
