Mazzante nabs another first-team All-America honor

Penn State junior Kelly Mazzante has been named to the All-America first team for the second consecutive season. Joining Mazzante on the first team is Connecticut's Diana Taurasi, Duke's Alana Beard, Mississippi State's LaToya Thomas and Kansas State's Nicole Ohlde. The selection marks the fourth All-America team Mazzante has been named to following a standout junior campaign. The guard has previously been recognized by the Associated Press, Kodak and the United States Basketball Writers Association. In addition, Mazzante was selected as the Big Ten Player of the Year and was honored by the Chicago Tribune with its "Silver Basketball Award", which is given annually to the top player in the Big Ten.
