April 23, 2003

The Penn State All-Sports Museum welcomed its 50,000th visitor on Saturday, April 19: Penn State student Lauren Kemner. Museum director Lou Prato greeted Kemner and her parents, Rich and Jill Kemner, after picking up their souvenir tickets. Prato presented Lauren with a gift bag, courtesy of the Nittany Lion Club and the museum gift shop, that included two tickets to the Penn State vs. Temple football game on August 30 as guests of the Nittany Lion Club. The museum, opened in Feb. 2002, honors the student-athletes and coaches down through history who have helped make Penn State's intercollegiate athletic program one of the best in the nation. During the upcoming Blue-White weekend, the All-Sports Museum will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday; it will be closed on Saturday, as it is for all home Nittany Lion football games.
