Penn State athletics raises $132 million during Grand Destiny campaign

The Penn State community celebrated the achievements of the seven-year Grand Destiny capital campaign this past weekend, an effort that has seen the athletics development staff raise more than $132 million since July 1, 1996. While the campaign does not officially end conclude until June 30, the University announced Saturday night (April 26) that $1,363,068,413 has been raised in private funding during the campaign. The University's original goal of $1 billion was raised to $1.3 billion during the campaign. These monies are allocated to fund student, faculty and program support, especially for those areas where public funds are inadequate or unavailable.
