MCC president to study in South Africa

Edalia George, a political science major from Long Island City, New York, is the president of the Penn State Behrend Multi-Cultural Council (MCC), an umbrella organization that includes ten student clubs and organizations representing a variety of ethnically diverse students. When this semester ends she will travel to South Africa for three weeks to take a Penn State honors communications class - democracy and media transformation in South Africa. A major goal of her MCC presidency has been to inspire communication among these organizations, so that students work together to promote, attend, and learn from one another's events.
