Penn State Beaver to celebrate first commencement with baccalaureate students

For the first time in campus history, students from Penn State Beaver's four-year degree programs will join in commencement exercises at 7 p.m. Friday, May 16, in the Study Learning Center auditorium. Thirty students from Beaver's information sciences and technology (IST) program, business program, and several associate degree programs will attend the ceremony. More than 250 faculty, staff, family and friends are expected to attend as well. The bachelor of science degree in IST was the first baccalaureate degree to be offered at the Beaver campus, followed by the bachelor of science degree in business. Beaver also offers a baccalaureate degree in applied psychology. The Honorable Michael R. Veon (D), District 14 representative, will deliver the commencement address. A reception will be held in the Study Learning Center lobby immediately following the ceremony.
