Penn State Altoona's Rogers earns Walker Award

Penn State Altoona junior Juhanna Rogers, a major in the College's four-year baccalaureate program in integrative arts with concentrations in business and public relations and minors in entrepreneurship and dance, was named the 2003 recipient of the Eric A. and Josephine S. Walker Award. The Walker Award is given to a student whose outstanding qualities of character, scholarship, leadership, and citizenship contribute to the prestige of the college and have been directed into student programs and services. Rogers, who served as president of Penn State Altoona's Black Student Union this past year, also recently was awarded the Women in Leadership Award by the Blair County Chapter of the NAACP. Rogers is a native of Newark, N.J.
