Brush up on survival skills in Altoona training camp

Do your kids know what to do if they get lost in the woods? Could they build a shelter or know what to eat? Penn State Altoona's "Survivor Training Camp" help children ages nine through 12 learn how to use a compass, identify natural foods, safe water and harmful plants, construct a shelter with limited supplies, learn the correct and safe way to build fires, forecast weather and much more.
