Adminstration building construction progresses at Penn State Beaver

Work continues to progress on the new Penn State Beaver administration building. Approximately 60 percent of the ground floor has been completed, 90 percent of the roofing is installed and the brick veneer of the building is nearly complete. Occupation of the building is expected by January 2004. Upon completion, the new 22,000 square foot facility will house the campus health center and academic support center, campus executive office, registrar, finance office, continuing education, academic affairs, University relations and faculty and student support offices. It will replace the current administration building, formerly the Beaver County Sanatorium, which will be demolished to make way for enhanced campus green space. The new building is being erected at the southwestern corner of the campus green, on the west side of the existing study-learning center, the campus's union building.
