Faculty and staff arrive and depart

Jake Werkheiser, assistant professor of computer science and a longtime faculty member at Penn State Beaver, is retiring from the University at the end of July. Werkheiser has taught at Penn State Beaver since 1969, and plans to pursue a variety of personal interests. Jill Ciciarelli, admissions counselor, is leaving her position at the end of July to become a full-time student at the University of Pittsburgh. Ciciarelli, who holds a bachelor's degree in psychology from Penn State, will pursue a bachelor's degree in Italian. Landon Clark has been named student activities director in the Office of Student Affairs. Clark, who holds a bachelor's degree in history from Freed-Hardeman University in Henderson, Tenn., will assist in the implementation of New Student Day, on and off-campus student events, and programming and activities initiated by the Student Government Association.
