New student orientation events to take place in August

Penn State Shenango will hold a new student orientation on Tuesday, Aug. 26 at 10 a.m. in the Forker Laboratory Forum beginning with a welcome by Campus Executive Officer Thomas Rookey, and Fred Leeds, director of academic affairs. The program, entitled "The Beginning Determines the End," was developed by current Penn State Shenango students and will include ice breakers, a presentation from Phil Nash on "Classroom Expectations from a Faculty Perspective," a scavenger hunt, a Student Government Club fair, an e-portfolio presentation, lunch, campus tour, and more. A similar evening orientation is planned for Thursday, Aug. 28 at 6 p.m.
