Nittany Lions' clash with Kent State to kickoff at 1 p.m. on Sept. 20

University Park, Pa. -- Penn State's home football game with Kent State will begin at 1 p.m. on Sept. 20 in Beaver Stadium. The contest, the Lions' last non-conference tilt, will not be televised.

The Nittany Lions (1-1) and Golden Flashes (1-1) will be meeting for the second time. Penn State won, 21-6, in 1965, the year before Joe Paterno became head coach at Penn State.

Tickets are available for the Penn State-Kent State game. Fans can purchase tickets by calling the Jordan Center ticket office at 814-865-5555 or 800-863-3336, weekdays from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Fans also can purchase tickets for the Kent State and Indiana contests in Beaver Stadium at http://www.GoPSUsports.com, the official Web site of Penn State intercollegiate athletics. By clicking on the football ticket icon on the front page of the Web site, fans can purchase tickets online.

Tickets also are available for all four of the Nittany Lions' Big Ten road games at Purdue (Oct. 11), Iowa (Oct. 25), Northwestern (Nov. 8) and Michigan State (Nov. 22). Tickets are not available for Saturday's clash at Nebraska (Sept. 13),

Orders are being accepted by phone only for the away contests.

Penn State visits No. 18 Nebraska on Saturday (Sept. 13) for an 8 p.m ET (7 p.m. CT) kickoff in Lincoln, Neb. The game will be televised by ABC to 54 percent of the nation. Kent State hosts Youngstown State before traveling to Happy Valley.
