Willson Trust supports engineering equipment at campus

Herbert McAdam Willson, manager of the J. M. Willson and Sons furniture store located in downtown Sharon, died in 1939. In his will, written in 1926, he established the H. M. Willson Trust Fund, which stipulated that the $100,000 fund become effective 25 years after his death. Nearly 65 years after his death and 40 years after the first grant was awarded, Penn State Shenango is honored to receive a generous gift of $23,000 from Willson's trust fund to purchase a Haas Tool Room Mill for engineering instructional purposes. The mill will be used for instructional purposes within the campus' engineer-ing curriculum and will also be used in continuing education classes offered to business and industry in the area.
