ComRadio offers local talk, sports programming via Penn State Live

University Park, Pa. -- ComRadio, the College of Communications' Web-streamed radio station, is now available on the Penn State Live Web site.

The talk-radio station, which recently upgraded to an mp3 stream, is operated by student volunteers. It provides about 50 hours a month of local talk/sports programming. The schedule ranges from twice-daily local newscasts and sports talk shows to issue-specific programming. ComRadio provides play-by-play coverage of home games of a variety of sports, ranging from football to baseball, ice hockey, soccer, field hockey, volleyball and gymnastics. When local programming is not broadcasting, the air time is filled with the constantly updated news reports from AP News Radio, which provides national and international reporting.
