Penn State Harrisburg offers semester-long internships

One of the added benefits of study at Penn State Harrisburg has traditionally been its close proximity to state government and the region's hub of business and industry. The proximity provides undergraduate and graduate students the opportunity for internships, out-of-classroom experiences, and networking with business, industry, and nonprofits in the mid-state. Since January, that opportunity has been available to Penn State undergraduate students through an innovative "Harrisburg Semester" program. The Harrisburg Semester internship opportunity drew 14 students from throughout the Penn State system to the capital city last summer. Students from across the Commonwealth are eligible to apply. The summer 2004 experience will be open to students from all colleges and universities in the state.
