New student art gallery established in Sparks Building

The University Learning Centers (ULC) in 7 Sparks Building on the University Park campus has established an art gallery for Penn State undergraduate students who would like to showcase their creativity or hold an exhibit. The state-of-the-art facility is used by students as a place to study, use computers, meet with tutors, work in groups or relax.

Penn State students are eligible display their artwork for up to one month. Receptions to mark the opening of a new display may be held on Friday afternoons. There is no fee to use the gallery, which can accommodate up to 30 pieces of art. The facility is equipped with an alarm system and is monitored by staff during open hours for enhanced security. Scheduling priority to use the space is based on semester standing and application date. The ULC encourages any student who would like to showcase his or her work to do so, even if only one or two pieces are available for display. Those interested in visiting the new Learning Center Gallery or holding an exhibit can pick up application materials in 7 Sparks Building or on the Web at http://www.ulc.psu.edu/news.htm
