Groundbreaking ceremony signals start of new building on campus

A ceremonial groundbreaking recently signaled the start of construction on Penn State York's new $11.9 million general purpose building. The building, which will feature a new library and performing arts center, is being constructed with state funding through the Department of General Services in Harrisburg and will be sited just to the west of the Main Classroom Building at the top of the hill. It also will house art classroom space and will offer programming flexibility not currently available on campus. Murphy and Dittenhafer of York is the design professional for the project.
