Nobel Laureate discusses Shuttle tragedy in campus lecture

Nobel Laureate Douglas D. Osheroff, the J.G. Jackson and C.J. Wood Professor of Physics at Stanford University, delivered the 2004 Penn State Harrisburg Distinguished Statisticians Lecture on Wednesday, March 24. Osheroff shared the Nobel Prize in 1996 with his Cornell doctoral thesis advisers David M. Lee and Robert C. Richardson from work done in the mid-1980s on helium-3 findings.
