Advising specialist's career spans 30 years

Judy Cary, advising specialist at Penn State Lehigh Valley, retired in March after more than 30 years of service. Cary began her career in December 1973 as an adult vocational/educational counselor working one evening at the Ridge Avenue facility and one evening at the Fogelsville School building. She was the first full-time DUS counselor and in 1985, became the admissions officer at the Lehigh Valley campus. In 1987, Cary received the Excellence in Advising Award, a statewide honor. She is also the recipient of the 1995 Alumni Relations Excellence Award.
