Local high school students explore careers at Penn State DuBois

High school students from across the region caught a glimpse of what the future workplace might hold for them at the recent career day sponsored by the Penn State DuBois Alumni Society. Nearly 300 freshmen, sophomores, juniors and seniors from six schools attended this year's event, held April 14 at the campus. Participating schools included Brockway, DuBois Area, Harmony Area, Marion Center, Union, and Austin Area high schools. The students had the opportunity to talk one-on-one with approximately 40 professionals employed across the region in the fields of education, broadcast journalism, law enforcement, engineering, health care, meteorology, wildlife, and funeral services, to name a few. The experience gave them a much-needed insight into future career options.
