Atkinson sculptures on display at Blissell Library

Four pieces from the works of sculptor/painter Kris Atkinson are on display in Penn State New Kensington's Blissell Library throughout the summer. Atkinson, whose credits include commissioned portrait sculptures of Joe DiMaggio and Danny Thomas, works in various styles such as traditional realism, impressionism, and free-form. The featured piece of the display is a sculpture of Joe Louis, who sat for Atkinson in 1977. The display is free and open to the public. Blissell Library is open Monday-Thursday, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.; and Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The library is closed Saturday and Sunday during the summer.
